The interior design of Maison Selby balances elements from an earlier era with modern touches, creating a unique experience for guests including the green room, pink room, main bar & solarium.
Inside the historic building downtown Toronto, on Sherbourne St., each room has been created to feel lived in, warm and welcoming thanks to banquette-style seating that resembles living room sofas, custom wall coverings and antique art work, mirrors, China and silverware on display.
To add a whimsical nod to the combination of old and new, in the main bar, a large custom painting in a 250 year old antique frame, inspired by French landscape painter Eugene Boudin appears classical at first, but look closer and you’ll see two women using a selfie-stick and an Honest Ed’s inspired sign.
The design of the bar, 1930’s French art deco, is the focal point of the room and inspired by Parisian perfume bottles and features crystal glass, antique brass, white marble, jewel-toned bar stools and floral custom lighting.
