The design – an ethereal experience that starts as soon as you arrive in the elevator, the journey upward to the top floor is the building of anticipation, a feeling of weightlessness and excitement. On arrival you are met with a simple and sleek space, lined with rich leather panelled walls, perfectly tailored and lit by a glowing valence above, your eastward view of the city is your first glimpse at what’s to come. That feeling of floating above of the clouds is heightened with the warm copper up lighting and an arch lined window wall that transcends you through a tunnel as you walk towards your table taking in the vignettes of the city. This skeletal like structure directs you and your gaze by curating every view. At the end of the archway, your eyes are opened up to the main dining space that sensationalize a feeling of openness, the glass tower you entered on the ground floor seems to disappear and you are soaring the sky within the warmth of a wood and copper composition.
As you sit on the platform framed with curved banquettes that hug you in, you take in one of the best views in the restaurant. The almost panoramic sight lines surrounding you while sitting beneath an installation the glows and heightens the experience of dining amongst the clouds. Sitting beneath it, the piece feels as though it softly moves above you with a glowing stream of copper working it’s way from one side to the other, as if it disappears like a jet stream into the clouds.
